Russian GP: Doran wins action packed Russian Grand Prix

Today’s Russian Grand Prix was an action packed affair.

Off the startline, Alex Moores struggled to get off the line, and at Turn 2, contact with O’Driscoll as she passed Hawke and tried to pass Moores sent him right down the order and the resulting contact caused an early safety car. At the restart, Estlea started making up positions and was up to fourth. In the pitstops, O’Driscoll dropped to third and was passed by Estlea. Moores’ race would get worse as Toby Jones spun and accelerated straight into him, both had to pit for a new front wing. As Doran was on hard tyres and as she had stuck to the leaders, she was now in the lead. In the second round of stops, a slow stop for Hawke dropped her behind Estlea. Hawke’s race would later end as she collided with a backmarker and had to retire. Moores had made his way up to sixth until he had to retire due to an engine failure! But at the front, Hannah Doran crossed the line to take her’s and Dowke’s first win of the season with Will Estlea extending his lead in second and Rosie O’Driscoll rounding out the podium.

Here is the result of the Russian Grand Prix.
