Singapore GP: Hardy wins as Yonataroker clinch the constructors in Singapore thriller

The Singapore GP was a thrilling affair.

Off the startline, Estlea took the lead, and everyone thought it would be a procession, but it wasn't to be like that.

The safety car was deployed twice in the early laps, which meant when everyone pitted, they rejoined behind the hard tyre runners. The race looked like it would be between Estlea and the two soft tyre shod Dowkes however Doran then hit the wall, with Hawke having no time to react. Doran was out, whilst Hawke lost her wing. Will Estlea then made the same mistake and was out of the race. The hard tyre shod Abbey Leggett surprisingly led quite a few laps on the hard tyres, however when the hard tyre runners pitted, Rosie O'Driscoll had the lead.

Alex Moores saw this as an opportunity to gain points with Estlea not scoring, but he was taken out by Toby Jones, who received a race ban for reaching over 12 penalty points and a 30 second time penalty + back of grid for the incident.

O'Driscoll now looked on course to take her maiden CRC win until her engine failed just 3 laps from the end forcing her out. This allowed Kieran Hardy to retake the lead and to take his first win since Abu Dhabi 2014. Toby Jones originally finished second but dropped out of the points because of his penalty. This promoted Chantelle Hawke, who passed a handful of cars in the last 10 laps to work her way back up to second and Lucy Woodward on hard tyres to take the final podium slot. Dowke were unable to collect enough points to keep the constructors alive, meaning despite a double DNF, they clinched the constructors championship with 5 races to spare.

Here is the result of the Singapore Grand Prix.

The championship standings have been updated, you can see the drivers here and the constructors here.
